Day 6

We slept in this morning, got up and headed out. We headed towards the Marienplatz to find somewhere to eat. We sat at a café and it promptly started raining. We went inside to finish lunch and head to Frauenkirche. This is a church (Church of Our Lady) and where Charlemagne hails from. We then went to The Residenz Museum. The Wisstelbachs built the elaborate palace which was mostly destroyed during WWII. From there we headed back to Marienplatz to have a snack and wait for the Glockenspiel to go off. 2 beers and a cappuccino later we head to Viktualienmarkt where the maypole and lots of shops are located. We wandered in and out of the shops, bought some things and wandered to a biergarten.

Alan and I split a salad, fresh brats, and weinerschnitzel. After we stopped at one of the many butcher shops to get some ham for tomorrow mornings breakfast. We wandered back to the hotel through the Marienplatz again, and did some more shopping. We stopped at the hotel restaurant to get an ice bucket and glasses. We put the champagne from the plane on ice and started to do the blog. Upon finishing we will hit the pool and go to bed. Another early morning is upon us tomorrow.
